Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) is a defined benefit public pension fund based in Pretoria, South Africa. The fund was established in 1996 when various public sector funds were consolidated. Its core business, which is governed by the Government Employees Pension Law (or GEP Law), is to manage and administer pensions and other benefits for government employees in South Africa. The plan is administered primarily by the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) and the assets are managed by the board of trustees, assisted by investment and a finance & audit committee.
