The utilities company serves over 1.6 million customers and consists of three business units PacificCorp Energy, Pacific Power and Rocky Mountain Power with over $14.9 billion assets as of December 2007. The amalgamate has mainly invested in energy-related venture capital funds in the past. However, the firm, including the group's retirement system, has made some investments in other types of private equity funds such as buyout and fund of funds.
