UCM Ventures is the University of Chicago Medicine's venture investing arm in Chicago, investing in U.S. healthcare and life sciences companies from pre-seed through Series D. It prioritizes UChicago-affiliated companies and backs businesses with potential clinical, operational and economic impact across HealthTech, biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, oncology and AI-enabled healthcare. The firm invests alongside established venture general partners, can provide up to 20% of a round or $0.5 million initially, whichever is lower, and has follow-on capacity up to $2 million.
