The Turrell Fund is an independent non-profit foundation based in Montclair, New Jersey. Established in 1935 by Herbert and Margaret Turrell, the foundation supports organizations which directly provides for or fosters the creation and delivery of quality developmental and educational services to at-risk children, especially the youngest, and their families in Vermont and designated areas of New Jersey. The trust grants are awarded primarily to organizations located in Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union Counties in New Jersey and throughout the State of Vermont. The assets of the foundation are governed by the board of trustees.The Turrell Fund's investment portfolio is valued at over $112.75 million, with investments in international and domestic equity, fixed income, private equity, real estate, cash and hedge funds.
