Sovereign Wealth Fund

The Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazna JSC is a sovereign wealth fund based in Astana, Kazakhstan. The fund was founded in accordance with the decree of president of the republic of Kazakhstan on dated October 13, 2008. The fund was created from the merger of two state-owned enterprises, management of state assets SAMRUK and KAZYNA sustainable development fund. It was established to increase competitiveness and sustainability of the national economy and to prevent a potential negative impact of world market changes to the country's economic growth. The key objective of the fund is to develop and ensure implementation of regional, national and international investment projects
