Shionogi

Shionogi & Co is a Japan-based pharmaceutical company with a corporate venture capital program established in April 2025. It targets healthcare and life sciences startups across Japan, the U.S., Europe and Asia, including biotechnology, HealthTech and pharmaceutical opportunities. The program backs pre-seed through mid-stage companies through its network and has later-stage venture activity, with a planned annual investment budget of about $14 million, starting with $7 million in FY2025.
