Shionogi

Shionogi is the corporate venture capital arm of Japan-based pharmaceutical company SHIONOGI, established in April 2025 to back startups that can create strategic breakthroughs for its 2030–2040 growth. It invests from seed through mid-stage opportunities across Japan, the United States, Europe and Asia, with focus areas including biotechnology, life sciences, healthtech, pharmaceuticals, AI and deep tech. Its annual investment budget is about $14 million.
