Roberts Foundation

Roberts Foundation is an independent non-profit foundation based in San Mateo, California. The foundation was established in 1985 by George R. Roberts, a Co-Founder of and Senior Partner with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.(KKR), a private equity firm that sponsors and manages investment funds. It provides support for the Roberts Enterprise Development Fund (REDF) which creates opportunities for homeless and low-income individuals to move out of poverty. REDF partners with a portfolio of Bay Area nonprofit organizations to create jobs and training opportunities in social purpose enterprises. The assets of the foundation are managed and administered by the board of directors.Roberts Foundation's investment portfolio is valued at over $80.24 million, with investments in domestic and international equity, private equity and cash.
