OpenAI Startup Fund is a venture capital fund affiliated with OpenAI that backs early-stage and later-stage AI companies in the United States. It focuses on startups applying artificial intelligence to healthcare, law, education, energy, infrastructure, the sciences and productivity, and has acted as a lead or co-lead investor across AI applications, cybersecurity, sales automation, fintech and hardware. The fund invests a $175 million mandate and is backed by Microsoft and other OpenAI partners.
