Laud Collier & Company (LC&Co.) is a private equity firm focused on acquiring controlling interests in U.S. based middle market manufacturing, distribution, and service businesses. LC&Co. was formed in 2002 by Paul J. Laud and Colby W. Collier, both longstanding veterans of the private equity investment business. Before launching LC&Co., Mssrs. Laud and Collier founded, and ran for 13 years, the private equity unit of CIT Group, Inc., a $50 billion financial services company (NYSE:CIT). The firm focuses its investing activities in the following sectors: Basic Materials (Plastics, Metal Forming, Specialty Chemicals, Processing Equipment); Business Services (Subscriber-Based Services, Outsourced Support Functions, Specialty Printing, Information Management); Consumer Products (Housewares, Hard Goods, Entertainment); and Transportation (Subassembly/Component Suppliers, Logistics, Services). Laud Collier targets businesses headquartered in, or with substantial operations in the U.S., with enterprise values between $25 million to $150 million, making an initial investment size of $10 million to $20 million. Laud Collier prefers businesses with EBITDA of at least $5 million.
