Kline Hawkes & Co., through its funds, Kline Hawkes California, LP and Kline Hawkes Pacific, LP, invests in expansion-stage opportunities and change of control transactions in the middle market. Heavy emphasis is placed on management teams, overall market size and rapid growth situations. Kline Hawkes' major areas of interest are IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Software, Business Services, Aerospace/Defense and Industrial Manufacturing. The firm manages approximately $300 million of investment capital. The typical investment by Kline Hawkes Pacific, LP ranges from $5 million to $10 million. However, with buyouts or change of control situations, the Fund may invest up to $15 million. Typical portfolio companies have existing revenues of $2 million to $75 million. The Fund places an emphasis on investments in companies with substantial assets or operations in California but will consider investments throughout the U.S. Kline Hawkes & Co. was founded in 1994 and made its first investment in 1996. Since then, the firm has invested in more than 40 companies.
