Kansas City Public School Retirement System (KCPSRS) is a defined benefit public pension fund based in Kansas City, Missouri. The system provides a pension for eligible participants at retirement age with optional beneficiary provisions. KCPSRS is designed to provide a significant and stable source of retirement, disability and survivor benefits for the employees of the Kansas City, Missouri School District, the Kansas City Public Library, the charter schools within the boundaries of the Kansas City Missouri School District and the Retirement System. The Board of KCPSRS uses an external asset consultant to manage the investment program and to source money managers and funds for the pension system. As of January 2021, Segal Marco Advisors is the asset consultant. KCPSRS has no investment professionals on staff.
