Great Lakes Angels

The Great Lake Angels is a nonprofit organization of personal investors seeking to provide seed funding for entrepreneurs who would ordinarily look outside the region for early stage investments. Great Lakes Angels will invest in Life Science, IT, MEMS, advanced manufacturing and various other technologies, with individual members investing $50,000 to $250,000 in one company. The group only seeks deals that are based in the Midwest (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Ontario). The Great Lakes Angels organization is expected to hold 10 monthly events each year at regularly scheduled times and locations. The meetings are not open to the public and are by invitation only. The typical meeting will include two highly screened 'deals' in the early evening (about 2 hours) with time for questions and answers to each presenter.
