Fort Hays State University Foundation

Fort Hays State University Foundation (FHSU Foundation) is an independent non-profit foundation based in Hays, Kansas. Established in 1945, the mission of the foundation is to support and advance the Fort Hays State University by actively seeking monetary gifts and bequests and to receive and administer those contributions in a prudent manner in accordance with donors' wishes. The foundation is the fundraising arm of Fort Hays State University which raises and manages all funds which are entrusted to the foundation for the benefit of various needs in the support of the university. FHSU Foundation works closely with the university to support its initiatives. The foundation is legally separate from the university and is governed by the board of trustees and supervised by a chief executive officer.Fort Hays State University Foundation's investment portfolio is valued at $102.78 million, with investments in domestic and international equity, fixed income, private equity, and real estate.
