Yuchun Lee

Yuchun Lee serves as Board Member and Member of Audit and Finance Committee and Management Development and Compensation Committee at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. He is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer at Allego. Lee served as an Executive in Residence at General Catalyst. He serves as the Chairman at Clarabridge. As Unica's CEO since its inception in 1992, Yuchun chose Summit as a growth equity partner in 1999. Yuchun guided Unica to a successful IPO in 2005 and under his leadership, the company became a global provider of enterprise marketing management solutions serving more than 1,500 businesses worldwide. In 2010, Unica was acquired by IBM. Yuchun remained with IBM until 2012, serving as Vice President and General Manager of IBM's Enterprise Marketing Management Group, with a global responsibility focusing on the needs of Chief Marketing Officers. Yuchun holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT and an MBA from Babson College. He serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Executive Partner at General Catalyst Partners. Prior to Allego, Lee served as vice president and general manager of IBM's Enterprise Marketing Management Group, with a global responsibility focusing on the needs of Chief Marketing Officers. He joined IBM in 2010 as part of its acquisition of Unica, a company that Lee co-founded to meet the needs of marketers seeking to leverage technology to reach new customers. As Unica's CEO since its inception in 1992, Lee's vision and strategy guided the company through a successful IPO in 2005 and ultimately to its acquisition by IBM for over $500M. A respected thought leader in technology and marketing, Lee currently is an Executive in Residence (XIR) at General Catalyst Partners, a venture firm that makes early stage and growth equity investments. He is also on the board of Vertex Pharmaceutical (NASDAQ: VRTX) and CEO of Clarabridge, a market leader in Customer Experience Management. He is a co-inventor of six technology patents and co-authored the book "Solving Data Mining Problems Through Pattern Recognition," and wrote a chapter for the Inside The Minds Books Series titled, "The DNA of Smart Business Growth."
