Urs has been in private equity for more than 20 years, focusing on primary and secondary growth capital investments in mature European software companies, specifically in financial technologies (FinTech), governance, risk & compliance (GRC), content management, marketing automation, digital commerce, big data, artificial intelligence, as well as infrastructure and security software solutions, including enabling software technologies, selling traditional software license and/or offering modern internet, cloud, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) delivery and subscription models. He has extensive know how in sourcing, analyzing, assessing, valuing, financing, developing, transforming and selling privately-held, bootstrapped and founder-led software companies to strategic buyers and to the public (IPO), as well as running accompanying processes. The same goes for setting-up, running and subsequently winding down international tax transparent fund structures for institutional investors, including fulfilling reporting and compliance requirements consistently over a long period of time. Urs graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) and served as a platoon leader with the Swiss mountain troopers. He is fluent in German, English and French.
