Thomas Blum

Thomas Blum serves as Member at New York Angels. Thomas Blum serves as Senior Advisor & Partner at G.C. Andersen Partners. He is also an angel investor. Before joining G.C. Andersen Partners in 2006, Blum ran Channel Capital, a firm he founded in 2001 to provide venture capital and financial advisory services to emerging companies. Prior to Channel Capital, he was a Managing Director in the private equity firm, Columbia Financial Partners. Previously, Blum was also an investment banker with Salomon Brothers. and Bear Stearns. He also oversaw the Salomon Brothers' Japanese and Asian Financial Institutions activities. In the 1980's, Blum was deeply involved in the then-emerging commercial mortgage securitization market. Blum serves on the Board of Directors of Landauer Metropolitan, Supertron Technologies, SkyFuel and Interactive Frontiers. Blum received a BS in Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
