Steven Gruber

Steven Gruber serves as Advisory Managing Partner & Founding Member at Oak Hill Capital Partners. He joined the firm in 1990. He serves as Board Member at Varagon Capital Partners. Gruber has senior responsibility for originating, structuring and managing investments for the firm's healthcare, business and financial services industry groups, as well as overseeing other management activities. Gruber served as the Vice President of Keystone (formerly known as Robert M. Bass Group, Inc.) since October 1992. From May 1990 to March 1992, he served as a Managing Director of Rosecliff Inc. From 1981 to April 1990, Gruber was associated with Lehman Brothers, most recently as a Managing Director and Co-Head of High-Yield Securities and Managing Director of its Merchant Banking Group, as well as a Member of its Investment Committee. He serves as the Chairman of American Skiing and Exlservice Holdings (since November 2002). Gruber serves as a Director at Grove Worldwide and MVE Holdings. Since February 1999, he is also a Director of several private companies related to Keystone, and Oak Hill Capital Partners. Gruber has been a Director at American Skiing since August 5, 1999 and Exlservice Holdings since November 2002. He has been Director at Williams Scotsman since February 2002 and serves as a Member of its Compensation Committee. Gruber has been a Director at TravelCenters of America since November 14, 2000 and serves as a Member of its Executive and Compensation Committees. He has been a Director at American Capital Access Holdings since 2002, Blackboard Inc. since February 2003 and Reliant Building Products since 1997. Gruber served as Director at SNTL Corporation (formerly Superior National Insurance Group) since April 1997, UnionAmerica Holdings and National Reinsurance Holding from 1990 to 1996. He received a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business, where he was a Merrill Fellow.
