Rick Treese serves as Chief Technology Officer, Technology & Executive Vice President at WebMD Health. He also is an Angel Investor. Rick Treese is WebMD's Chief Technology Officer and has served in this position since June 2015. Treese is responsible for WebMD's technology strategy and delivery, which includes the development of platforms that support WebMD's consumer and professional properties as well as handling the company's technology infrastructure and operations efforts. Prior to becoming Chief Technology Officer, Rick was Senior Vice President of Engineering, where he led the teams responsible for the development of WebMD's portfolio of consumer- and physician-focused products. Treese has more than 20 years of technology leadership experience focused on the Internet, media, and finance industries. Before joining WebMD, he was Chief Technology Officer at TheMarkets.com, a leading provider of financial data solutions for institutional investors worldwide. In this role he led all technology initiatives, including the build of their flagship platform which aggregated diverse, real-time data from hundreds of brokers for delivery to their clients. Treese is co-author of CTO Leadership Strategies, published by Aspatore Books. He holds a BS in banking and finance from Hofstra University.
