The Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago is the largest not-for-profit social welfare institution in Illinois and the central address of Chicago's Jewish community.The Federation currently invests through four vehicles, Hedge Funds, Fund of Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate Funds. Their fund of fund investments are monitored in house but they have relationships with four outside advisors to help manage its' investments in the other asset classes, including real estate and private equity. In the past they have invested in 2 Indian real estate funds as well as some private equity fund of funds.
