Larry Yu is the marketing partner at Accel, a venture capital firm that has backed companies like Atlassian, Crowdstrike, Etsy, Facebook, Flipkart, Dropcam, Dropbox, Jet.com, lynda.com, Slack, Spotify, and Supercell. He guides the firm’s communications and marketing efforts. Larry also helps portfolio companies, both large and small, build out their brand and navigate the complexity and opportunity that accompanies growth.
Before Accel, Larry was a partner at The Pramana Collective, a project-focused integrated communications consultancy founded by executives from Facebook, Skype and Twitter. Larry joined the firm from Facebook where he was head of corporate communications as the Facebook community grew from 100 million to 1 billion people and the company transitioned from privately-held to publicly-held.
He went to Facebook from Google, where he held product communications and corporate communications roles. Larry also worked at Cisco Systems and spent his first few years out of college in advertising and marketing communications roles.
