Kirsten Curtis is a Managing Director at the Food Fund, a venture capital firm in San Francisco dedicated to reducing the total cost of food throughout the value chain by leveraging technological innovations.
Prior to coming on board, she served as the VP of Supply Chain Strategic Initiatives overseeing the merger between Safeway and Albertson’s supply chains. Before coming to Safeway, Kirsten worked in marketing, consulting, and manufacturing. She has a broad experience in big data sharing and visualization, demand planning, forecasting, contract negotiation, supplier selection, and outsourcing, as well as direct experience with project management and industrial engineering.
Kirsten earned her BS in International Relations from Stanford University and her Master’s of Engineering in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from MIT-Zaragoza. Kirsten has lived in 4 countries and speaks 5 languages. In her free-time, Kirsten enjoys kite-surfing, traveling, and competing in triathlons.
