Kay Hong serves as Chief Executive Officer at Proenza Schouler. Previously, she served as Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal. She specializes in financial analysis and plan development for corporate turnarounds and restructurings, as well as developing and executing performance improvement initiatives for financially healthy companies. Hong most recently served as interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Restructuring Officer of Harry & David, a $400-million multichannel, vertically integrated food gifting company. In this capacity, Hong led both the successful operational turnaround and financial restructuring of Harry & David. Hong has also served as an Officer at Spiegel and Movie Gallery, as a Financial Adviser to Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc., London Fog Group and the secured lenders of Legacy Estates Group and Oriental Trading Company and as a performance and operational improvement adviser to several middle-market retail clients.
