Jay Tansey

Jay Tansey has spent his career advising senior executives and innovative entrepreneurs across sectors and around the world. As Executive Director of Black Point Group, he is responsible for a wide range of investment, business, and philanthropic activities. He also serves as Executive Director at Vets First Choice, a leading provider of healthcare technology for veterinarians. Prior to these roles, Jay worked in venture capital and public service. Most recently, he focused on late-stage technology investing at North Atlantic Capital. He was previously a Presidential appointee and policy advisor at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and served as special assistant to Congressman Tom Perriello (VA-05) in the U.S. House of Representatives. Before entering politics, he worked as an advocate for minority- and women-owned companies and as a higher education research consultant. A former Pepsi marketing associate and political advertising consultant, he also brings strong digital strategy experience to BPG and VFC. Jay is a native New Englander and earned his A.B. from Bowdoin College and M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
