Formed in 1998, Charlesbank Capital Partners is a private equity firm with more than $2 billion in assets under management and makes middle market investments in U.S. companies. The firm invests across a range of industries, backing management teams to acquire and build businesses. Target industries include consumer products, distribution, energy, financial services, food, for-profit education, healthcare products and services, manufacturing, media and communications, and retail. Since 1991, Charlesbank has invested over $2.9 billion in 60 companies, and currently has $1.5 billion in capital committed to its most recent fund. The firm typically make investments of $50 million to $150 million, in companies with valuations of up to $750 million.
