Energy Investors Funds (EIF) was founded in 1987 as the first private equity fund manager dedicated exclusively to the independent power and electric utility industry and is 100% management-owned. Since that time, EIF has mobilized over $4 billion in capital and currently manages eight private equity funds. The firm's funds have made over 100 diversified investments, with a combined underlying asset value exceeding $15 billion. For investments requiring large amounts of equity capital, EIF will present co-investment opportunities to its Limited Partners. Since 2002, EIF has provided approximately $450 million in co-investments.
