Thiers is the Founder of Sittercity, Inc. She served at Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Telly Monster and a host of Sesame Street characters, including the amazing Elmo. Her articles on childcare have been published in magazine including Big Apple Parent Magazine and Dallas Child Magazine, her work as a childcare speaker includes Wheelock College, Bentley College, and over 30 mothers forums across America, and she is the Childcare Expert for iVillage. Thiers is a graduate of Boston College and Northwestern University.
