Hymans Robertson is a consultant that advises its clients on investments in funds of hedge funds, funds of private equity funds, and real estate funds and fund of real estate funds. The firm's clients are UK pension schemes, most of which allocate 3-5% of their total assets to alternative investments. HR's clients use globally diversified multi-strategy and long/short equity funds of hedge funds. All managers should be FSA regulated or European equivalent activated. Managers may be based outside of the UK but should have some UK commitment with a local office for client support. HR operates a database of managers called Manager Radar, and any funds it invests in come from that approved platform of managers.�The firm has decided to outsource the collection of data to a single provider: eVestment Alliance. As of 31st March 2011 it will no longer be asking managers to input data to the old on-line manager database.�The firm strongly encourages managers to fully complete data entries to eVestment.
