Iskander is a multi-family office that provides investment advisory services to high net worth individuals and families. The firm identifies opportunities screens managers and performs all matters of due diligence before making recommendations to its clients. Iskander's clients invest via funds of hedge funds only as it does not have the capacity to perform thorough operational due diligence on single-manager funds. Some clients have robust fund of funds allocations but most do not. The firm is looking to slowly increase the funds of funds exposure in a number of clients' portfolios. Iskander's clients also invest in long-only funds as well as directly in equities and fixed income. A few of Iskander's clients have investments in private equity and real estate but they handle that individually and there is no capacity for new investments in these asset classes.
