The group generally provides subordinated notes and second lien loans with equity participation in the form of warrants, preferred stock or common stock to established businesses with significant asset values or predictable cash flows. The firm also makes fund investments typically between $10 million and $50 million, by providing capital commitments to Private Equity funds with a proven track record of success and sustainable investment strategies. Hancock Mezzanine Partners, LP, a $425 million mezzanine capital pool, was formed in August 1998 and was fully invested as of September 2000. Hancock Mezzanine Partners II, LP, a $200 million mezzanine capital pool, was formed in December 2001 and was fully invested as of October 2003. Hancock Mezzanine Partners III, LP, a $396 million mezzanine capital pool, was formed in October 2003 and was fully invested as of December 2007. Hancock Capital Partners IV, LP is a $449 million mezzanine capital pool, formed in November 2008 and is actively investing.
