Government Pension Investment Fund of Japan

Government Pension Investment Fund of Japan is a public pension fund based in Tokyo, Japan. Established in 2006, the mission of GPIF is to manage and invest the reserve funds of the employees' pension insurance and the national pension. The fund manages and invests the reserve funds of the government pension plans entrusted by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare. The assets are managed by the Board of Governors.
