Gatsby Charitable Foundation (Gatsby) is an independent non-profit private foundation based in London, United Kingdom. Founded in 1967, by David Sainsbury, agreed on the first grant to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Over more than 45 years of grant-making, the trustees have chosen to concentrate their support in a limited number of fields of activity like arts, education, neuroscience, public policy, plant science and in East Africa.
