Fortress Investment Group (Fortress) is a money management firm based in New York, New York. Established in 1998, the firm provides a wide array of services such as pooled investment vehicles, pension, and profit-sharing plans, corporations, institutional managed accounts and structured products, banking or thrift institutions, investment companies, charitable organizations, and state or municipal government entities. It also manages hedge funds, balanced mutual funds, and private equity funds. The assets and investments of the firm are managed by the Board of Directors.
