Founded in 2001 as Boston-based IDG Ventures Atlantic, the firm was re-named Flybridge Capital Partners in 2008 to better reflect its position as a firm with a broad, blue-chip investor base and diverse sector focus. The firm has $560 million under management across three funds including Flybridge Capital Partners III, LP (2008), Flybridge Capital Partners II, LP (2005), and Flybridge Capital Partners I, LP (2001). Flybridge invests in seed and early-stage, capital efficient companies in the consumer, energy, healthcare and information technology markets. With early-stage companies, the firm will initially invest between $1 million and $3 million, and between $6 million and $12 million in aggregate, with a target of 20 to 30 percent ownership. For mid-growth companies, the firm will initially invest between $3 million and $6 million, $6 million to $12 million in aggregate, and will seek 15 to 25 percent ownership.
