Norfolk Employees' Retirement

City of Norfolk's Employees' Retirement System is a single employer contributory defined-benefit public pension fund based in Norfolk, Virginia. Established in 1942, the plan provides retirement, death, pension, survival, and death benefits to all employees of the City of Norfolk, excluding school board and constitutional Officer employees covered by the Virginia Retirement System. The pension fund is managed by the ten-member board of trustees.
