City of Coral Gables Retirement System

The City of Coral Gables Retirement System is a single-employer defined benefit public pension fund based in Coral Gables, Florida. The plan covers substantially all regular full-time general, police, and fire department employees of the City of Coral Gables. The plan has contracts with investment counselors who supervise the investment of equity and fixed income security. Additionally, the plan utilizes an investment consultant who monitors the investment activity. The City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer appointed by the Mayor and City Commission and carries out the policy direction of the City Commission. The assets of the plan are managed and governed by the board of trustees comprising of 13 members.
