Calumet Venture Fund

Calumet, founded in 2008, was formed to invest in the next generation of high-growth technology companies in the Midwest. The firm has started, grown, and successfully exited 15 companies since its foundation. The fund focus is information technology, specifically in the areas of software as a service, e-commerce and online marketing services, mobile technologies, and bioinformatics. Calumet makes investments in the Midwest, primarily in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota. The firm invests between $200,000 and $3 million at inception, depending on the needs of the company and will increase on a staged basis for follow-on investments. Calumet provides active, hands-on assistance in all phases of expansion.
