Brentwood Venture Capital

Brentwood Venture Capital was an early stage venture capital investment firm, focusing on Internet/e-commerce, communications and data networking, information technology, and health care. The firm was founded in 1972 as Brentwood Associates and had three offices in California: Menlo Park, Los Angeles and Irvine. In 1999, the venture partners from Brentwood joined with partners from IVP and Crosspoint and created two separate industry-focused firms: Redpoint Ventures, focused on IT, and Versant Ventures, focused on Health Care. Portfolio companies invested into by Brentwood Associates Funds up to the final fund raised in 1998, Brentwood Associates IX, were managed out into 2007. Brentwood Venture Capital is no longer actively tracked by PitchBook.
