The Barrow Cadbury Trust (BCT) is an independent non-profit foundation based in London, United Kingdom. Established in 1920, the foundation provide grants to grassroots community groups and campaigns working in deprived communities in the UK, with a focus on Birmingham and the Black Country. It also work with researchers, think tanks and government, often in partnership with other grant-makers, to overcome the structural barriers to a more just and equal society. The Barrow Cadbury Trust's mission is to promote social justice through grant making, research, influencing public opinion and policy and supporting local communities. The Trust was founded by Barrow Cadbury and his wife Geraldine Southall Cadbury. Barrow Cadbury Turst is an endowed foundation with relatively modest resources so the foundation uses more than just the company's income to achieve goals. The assets of the foundation is managed by the board of trustees.The Barrow Cadbury Trust's investment portfolio is currently not investing in private equity or venture capital.
