Alliance Technology Ventures

Alliance Technology Ventures (ATV) is a venture capital firm focused on private company investments in the semiconductor, communication component, and life science industries. Founded in 1993, ATV is based in Atlanta, and maintains venture partners in Boston, MA and Palo Alto, CA. With over $250 million under management, Alliance has provided seed financing for about one-third of the companies in its portfolio, and the firm has led the first institutional round on over three-fourths. Alliance generally holds a board seat and plays an active role in a portfolio company's development. Alliance typically targets: life science opportunities, especially novel biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics and devices; and the semiconductor industry, especially with applications for communication components. ATV seeks opportunities across the U.S., but does not make investments outside the country.
