The largest member of the American Automobile Association (AAA) federation of motor clubs, the Auto Club of Southern California is a not-for-profit that serves about 6 million members from 70-plus offices in about a dozen counties. The club provides 24-hour roadside assistance, travel planning, auto pricing, buying, and maintenance services, as well as a host of insurance plans. In addition, members can renew vehicle registrations, plates, and stickers at club offices. The club also publishes Westways magazine, which offers travel tips and discounts.
