Wade Davis

Wade Davis serves as Chief Executive Officer at FurgeLight. Davis serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Univision Communications. He served as Chief Financial Officer, Director & Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development at Viacom. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions at Viacom since January 2007 and Senior Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at Viacom since January 1, 2006. Before that, he was Senior Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions of the former Viacom Inc., since October 2005. In this role, which he assumed in November 2012, Davis is responsible for overseeing the core financial functions of the company on a global basis, including Financial Planning, Tax, Treasury, Reporting, and Risk Management. Additionally Davis oversees Corporate Development, Strategy, Research & Consumer Insights functions for the Company. Prior to joining Viacom, Davis was an investment banker in the technology and media sectors for more than a decade. Most recently he was a Managing Director, Co-Head of Investment Banking and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at ThinkEquity Partners. Prior to ThinkEquity, he was a Managing Principal of Lazard Venture Advisors, L.P., and a Vice President of Lazard Freres & Co. in their Technology, Media and Telecommunications M&A Group. As an investment banker at Lazard Freres & Co and Wasserstein Perella & Co., Davis advised clients on transactions with an aggregate value of more than $40 billion. Before becoming an investment banker, Davis held operating positions at Harley Davidson, Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Davis has been active in the reform of public education and is co-founder and a member of the Board of AdvancePath Academics, a firm that operates technology-based centers that recover and educate high school dropouts. Additionally, Davis serves on the Board of Directors of Cengage Learning, one of the largest providers of higher education curriculum solutions in the world. Wade Davis served as Partner at Lazard. Previously, Davis was one of the founding members of Wasserstein Perella & Co.'s Technology M&A Group in San Francisco.
