Taavi Taavi

Taavi Veskimagi serves as Chairman uf the Board and Chief Executive Officer at Elering. He is also an Angel Investor. From 2003 until 2005, Taavi Veskimgi was the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Estonia. In 2003 Taavi Veskimgi became member of the Estonian Parliament and leader of the Res Publica parliamentary group before he was appointed Estonian Minister of Finance. He held the position of Vice President of the Parliament from 2005 to 2006 and until 2007 he was the co-chairman of the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union, the main centre-right political party in Estonia. His professional civil servant career started in 1996 at the Ministry of Finance where he worked for 5 years as a head of the Public Administration Department and non-political advisor to the Ministry. From 1997 until 2003 he was also the representative of the Republic of Estonia as majority shareholder at the Supervisory boards of Estonian Post Ltd., Port of Tallinn, Distribution Network of Narva and Estonian Air Navigation. Since 1998 Taavi Veskimgi has practised an additional profession as lecturer and consultant of public administration and financial management at Tallinn University. He is also the chairman of the board of Estonian Defence Industry Union.
