He holds a BTech in Agriculture Engineering and is a Management Post Graduate from IIM Ahmedabad. He founded the Indigram Group and has seeded and supported several business and social ventures. His expertise includes local and international commodity trade, agriculture and rural development, social enterprise and impact investing. He founded Indian Agribusiness Systems Pvt Ltd in 2000, which is one of the best known organizations in the agri-commodities information and consulting services space in India. He founded Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals, a not-for-profit, Section 25 company in 2001, one of the largest networks of agriculture and allied sector professionals in India. He was an elected member of the Board of Directors of International Food and Agribusiness Management Association, 2010-11. He was an Advisory Board member at Glocal Healthcare Systems Pvt Ltd, an ambitious venture to bring state-of-art healthcare to rural India with an integrated model of secondary care hospitals, health insurance, skill development and technology. He has been a member of various government committees including Planning Commission Working Groups for the Eleventh Five Year Plan (2007-2012) on Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure and Policy for Internal and External Trade; and Governing Council of the India Development Gateway Group at the Ministry of Communication and IT, GoI.
