Sohel Shikari

Sohel Shikari serves as Group Chief Financial Officer at Preferred Brands International. He is also an Angel Investor. He is responsible for financial planning, strategy, financial and management reporting, treasury management of the group's operations globally. He also oversees planning and execution of all capital expenditure that takes place at the manufacturing subsidiary, Tasty Bite Eatables Limited facility located in Pune, India. He is a co-founder of ASG-Omni, a US and India based consulting, financial services and venture capital advisory firm that was formed in 1995. The firm specialized in designing and executing entry strategies for US corporations into India and venture capital advisory for Indian companies seeking growth capital. He has worked with several clients such as Nimbus, Aztec, Pizza Corner, Tejas and Carnegie Mellon University is an ambitious project aimed at setting up India' first high speed data network. ASG-Omni worked with companies in emerging sectors such as media, telecommunications, food processing and the quick service restaurant industry. After restructuring the consulting business into PBI's holding company in 2001, he has dedicated his time in building the group's food business. Sohel began his career with Goldman Sachs in New York in the Global Controls and Information Technology Group. Prior to this, he was a research assistant at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Volpe National Transportation Center. He was also a research assistant at the Intelligent Engineering Systems Laboratory at MIT. Sohel graduated as an engineer doing his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Bombay and later receiving a Masters in Civil and Environment Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
