Robert Osterrieth serves as Partner at Rho Fund Investors. Prior to that, he was an investment banker with JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley in New York. In 1985, while working for Rho, he moved to London to focus on investments in Europe. In 1986, he left Rho to initiate a joint venture with Schroder Ventures (now Permira) to raise and manage Permira German Buyouts, the first institutional buyout fund to invest in Germany, in which Rho became an anchor investor. He went on to found Omega Venture Advisers Limited in 1988 to manage private equity investments for wealthy families. Ten years later, he combined the business of Omega with Rho to form Rho Fund Investors and currently serves on its Investment Committee. He received an M.B.A. from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
