Dr. Michael Foley serves as Operating Partner at Artemis Capital Partners. He also serves as Board Member & Independent Director at Hypertherm. He previously served as the Chief Executive Officer at Reflexite. He also serves as a Board Member at Digital Alloys and StanChem. He has spent his career in industrial technology companies that produce automated systems, medical devices, electro-mechanical and electrical-optical equipment, plastic components and films, with a special technical expertise in polymers, optics, metrology, and instrumentation. Before joining Artemis, Foley was the CEO of Reflexite Corporation, a specialty manufacturer of polymeric coated fil Foley spent 16 years at Reflexite, during which time the businesses he managed grew at a 18% CAGR with EBITDA margins over 20%. Prior to Reflexite, Foley was VP/General Manager at Life Sciences International, a company that made analytical instrumentation and related polymeric consumables for life sciences markets. Foley played a key role in successful exits from Reflexite and LSI, generating over a half a billion dollars in shareholder liquidity at strategic valuations. He started his management career in 1992 at Bausch and Lomb, where he was responsible for the developing B&L's low cost contact lens manufacturing process for their entry into the daily disposable lens market. Before that he worked as an engineer in robotics and computer vision. Foley has 3 engineering degrees (SB, SM, and PhD), all from MIT.
