Jeremiah Chafkin

Jeremiah Chafkin has served as our Chief Investment Officer since 2014. Prior to joining our company, Chafkin served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at AlphaSimplex Group, an investment management firm, from 2008 to 2014. From 2006 to 2007, Chafkin was the Chief Executive Officer at IXIS Asset Management U.S., L.P. From 1991 to 2006, Chafkin held a range of leadership roles with The Charles Schwab Corporation, including Executive Vice President of the Advised Investor Division (2002 - 2006), President of Charles Schwab Investment Management (1991-2001) and Executive Vice President of Asset Management Products and Services (1999-2001). Chafkin began his career at Bankers Trust Company, where he spent almost fifteen years in a variety of asset management roles, including Chief Executive Officer of the Structured Investment Management business (1997-1999) and President of Japan Bankers Trust (1994-1996). Chafkin holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Yale University and an M.B.A. degree from Columbia Business School.
