Dr. James Cash serves as Chairman at Carbon Relay. Dr. Cash also serves as a Special Advisor at Highland Capital Partners. He also serves as a Board Member at Chubb. Since the creation of his first software company in 1970, Jim has been focused on the combination of the strategic use of information technology in large scale companies and early stage companies that develop software and services for that market. He has served on eighteen public company boards (currently GE and Chubb) and regularly advises young entrepreneurs and early-stage companies. In addition to his board work, under the umbrella of The Cash Catalyst, LLC, Jim runs personal development programs for executives in Global 500 organizations. As a Special Advisor to Highland, Jim leverages his extensive network of executive leaders to share innovative ideas with Highland entrepreneurs. Jim is an Emeritus James E. Robison Professor and Senior Associate Dean of the Harvard Business School, where he first joined the faculty in 1976 and retired in 2003. He taught in all the major HBS programs, and served as Chairman of Baker Library, Chairman of the MBA program and Chairman of the Harvard Business School Publishing Company at various times during his tenure at the school.
