Habib Hazzan

Mr. Habib Hazzan is the Managing General Partner of Ibtikar. Mr. Hazzan has over 20 years of experience as an attorney, business consultant and venture capitalist in the Middle East and worldwide. Mr. Hazzan was the Co-Founder & Managing General Partner of Al-Bawader, of Pitango Group, a USD 50 million venture capital fund investing in some of the leading technology, internet and mobile startups operating in the Middle East and worldwide. Prior to that Habib assumed project leadership roles at McKinsey & Co.; the leading business strategy consulting firm worldwide. Mr. Hazzan focused on growth strategy projects for Israeli and international telecom and financial service clients. Previously, over a 13 year period, Mr. Hazzan held consulting, strategic management and legal positions in Israel, the Palestinian territories and worldwide with IBM, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Adam Smith International and Elias D. Khoury Law offices. Habib has worked in the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Africa and is well- regarded and connected in all these geographies. Mr. Hazzan holds LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an MBA from Emory University in the US where he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship.
