In 2007, the management team of Ziegler Healthcare Capital (ZHC) formed Contemporary Healthcare Capital (CHC) to provide a broader spectrum of products that focus on the healthcare services industry. CHC offers senior mortgage, mezzanine and asset based financing. In addition, the firm makes equity investments to assist in the funding of acquisitions, mergers, partnership buy-outs, refinancing of existing debt, construction and working capital financing. Fixed-rate mezzanine loans range in size from $1M - $18M. The firm's equity investments range from $1M - $18M, with a preferred coupon between 8%-10% (can be accrued). Total investments are more than $250 million.
